You can choose to dry under a hood dryer before you leave if you wish to not leave with wet hair.

We recommend that you wait a minimum of 1 week before or after any chemical service due to the gentle but effective clarification process we use for our treatments. However, please note you may opt out of the chelation treatment if you wish.

It would be ideal to visit before your hair color appointment, as clarified and nourished hair ensures better color absorption and more vibrant, long-lasting results.

For optimal scalp health, we recommend a treatment every 4 to 6 weeks or more often if you wish. However, if you experience issues like dryness, oiliness, or buildup, more frequent treatments may be beneficial until balance is restored.

But ultimately, we encourage you to come as often as you are able. You are worthy of care.

We focus on promoting scalp health and increasing blood circulation, which can stimulate hair follicles to support hair growth so we actually encourage regular appointments for optimal scalp health. Our treatments will not exacerbate thinning, they’re quite beneficial.

And if you are wondering if you can be hairless and still reap the benefits of a head spa session.. yes! you absolutely can!

Unimpeded access to the scalp is needed for our hands and scalp tools, so head spa treatments on heads with extensions, locs, dreads, or braids won’t be able to experience the full benefits from head spa at KC Head Spa. We do not want to risk damaging the hairstyle in any way.

The bonds on extensions could be affected by the steam and other treatments we use. We do however, highly recommend getting head spa treatments in between move-ups!

Once you enter the private head spa room, video recording will not be permitted unless arranged in advance under special circumstances. You are here to unwind and be uninterrupted so put your phone away.

Currently, in the Olathe location, KC Head Spa has one spa bed in a suite located inside Identity Suite Salons and Wellness. We can do only one session at a time.
